Orlando Bloom Is Back, Baby! New Three Musketeers Trailer Released

Okay, so maybe this isn't as big of a deal as the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol trailer, but it still makes us smile to see Orly doing his action thing again!
Check out the new trailer (above) for Paul W. S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers.
As we mentioned before, the movie stars Orlando Bloom, Matthew Macfadyen, [...]

Sad! Some people just never learn.

Real World's most volatile bad boy ‘Puck' David Rainey has been arrested and charged in a domestic violence case. Puck was taken into custody last week by the LAPD and booked on suspicion of felony corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

Cohabitant? That has to mean a new girlfriend, right? They couldn't mean his son, who Puck's already sufficiently traumatized for life when he got behind the wheel of their car drunk and flipped it into a San Diego creek with the 8-year-old boy trapped in the backseat. They would specify if he had hurt a minor, right?

Ugh! This guy really has some serious issues, issues we don't think he has ever really dealt with or ben punished for. Hopefully, this latest violent act didn't leave anyone too badly hurt!

And The Nominees For The 2011 Teen Choice Awards Are…

Once again, it's all about Twilight!
The first wave of nominations for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards have just been announced, and it appears that the third installment in the sparkly vampire franchise, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is in the lead with 12 potential wins, followed by Glee with nine, and The Vampire Diaries with seven!
Check [...]

You would think that three years would mean something to guy. Apparently not.

While their split was said to be amicable, we've just learned that it was actually Kyle Howard's decision to end thing with Lauren Conrad. Reportedly, Kyle took issue with LC's reality show fame, fearing it would conflict with his big career plans. A source explains:

"He saw the relationship as distracting from his goal of being the next Robert De Niro. He wasn't supportive of her career."

Huh! At least she had one! The next Bobby De Niro, you say? Maybe then you shoudn't have made a career on TELEVISION? BTW - at lease people watch Lauren's shows!!!

That seems harsh, but trust us, we're holding back, especially since we've learned that Lauren isn't taking the break up do well. Apparently, she had planned on a life with his man, marriage and kids and all that. Now, she's simply "heartbroken" and isn't sure where to go from here!

SAD!!! Girl, forget him! There is someone out there for you that isn't going to break your heart, smash your dreams or judge your career. Go out and find him ... and ask him if he has a brother!

Travel Guitar Reviews

I decided to write this series of articles, in response to years of listening to my musician friend's regale me with tails of woe, about "Bad Sound Experiences." BSE if you will. Most often, these BSE's had a common identifiable trait (New or inexperienced sound tech) and almost all were related to on stage monitor mixes. These unfortunate experiences made playing their music un-fun and un-inspiring. Since these are the two reasons most of my friends play music... I thought I'd try to help!

Endgame By Rise Against

Weezer has held my interest for many years now, and what keeps me coming back is their consistency. Their debut album Weezer (the "Blue" album) will always have a place in my heart as one of the few CDs I will never tire of. Sixteen years and eight CDs later, the band still has it, with their latest album Hurley.

Hurley By Weezer

It has been three years since Interpol's last album, 2007's Our Love To Admire, which met with mixed reviews that were far removed from the critical acclaim given to their previous albums, Turn On The Bright Lights and Antics, released in 2002 and 2004 respectively. Enter Interpol's newest album Interpol (released on Tuesday, September 8th).

Beats For Sale: A Review of myFlashStore

There are a variety of digital audio file formats. Most people are familiar with the mp3 but there are many others - some made for music and others with just speech in mind. There are two main types you should know about: lossless and lossy. Lossless are higher quality and include wav files. Lossless files throw out a lot of the audio data in order to reduce the total size. The best example is the mp3.

Queen Latifah Is Joining Dancing With The Stars??

That's right guys, Queen Latifah is apparently joining the ranks of Snooki and Tiffani Thiessen on the new season of Dancing With The Stars.
Is this absolutely true, Queen?? Joining the cast seems really beneath you — Hell, you've been nominated for an academy award! We know things seem to be a little slow for you [...]

The real question is, will people like it? Let's find out!

It has been CONFIRMED that a third Bridget Jones flick is in the works and close to getting into production. Working Title Films, the company behind the last two movies, is ready to forge ahead with the project, which must mean all the actors are in place and the script is up to their liking.

But just to refresh everyone's memory about the storyline, Colin Firth spilled some details awhile back that might not be to everyone's liking. Colin spilled:

“I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can’t have children, I think that’s the way it goes on. So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver [Hugh Grant's character] for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she’s left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?”

Sounds a little ... recycled to us. Been there, done that. What next?

Still, the second movie was a disaster and everyone still went to see it. Guess we all just can't get enough of seeing Renee Zellweger put on 30 pounds. LOLz!

Prince William and Kate Middleton continue their tour of Canada and this weekend spent some time hanging with the common folk at a drop in shelter for young people. Wills played some fooseball while Kate admired the surroundings. Altho the royal pair may have looked out of place, their cherry dispositions seemed to show that they really had a good time.

While many will dismiss this visit to this shelter as nothing more than a photo op, I honestly believe that William and Kate enjoy meeting people and visiting places like this. That said, how amazing would it have been if Willy and Katie had dressed down a bit to blend in better ;) Still … these photos are great, I love these two.

Shopping for imported Italian pottery presents a delightful dilemma. The number of patterns, and the forms, shapes or functionality offered in each pattern is, for all practical purposes, endless. No matter whether you're new to Italian pottery or a long-time collector, there's always more to learn and consider -- finding a reputable source from which to purchase, the fun of mixing and matching collections, the importance of knowing about production process and the value of Italian pottery as "arte," and care of the pottery once you own it. This article presents details about each of these topics.

Soothing Qualities of Relaxing Piano Music

Vinyl records have stood the test of time throughout the years for several reasons and they will most likely continue to be the favorite of many music fanatics for a long time to come. CDs, MP3s and MP4s may be the cutting-edge technology but nothing can compare to classic songs recorded on an original vinyl record. Vinyl records have several benefits over other types of music formats, with the most important being the sound.

Happy Birthday Sandra Bullock!

Can you believe that Miss Sandra is 47 years old today? Seriously, girlfriend looks amazing for her age. I can only hope that I look that good when I turn 47, and sadly that’s right around the corner. Anyways, in honor of her birthday, here’s my favorite Top 5 movies starring the beautiful Sandra Bullock. Feel free to leave your favorite Sandy flicks in the comments section below! My all time favorite Sandra Bullock movie hands down is none other than ‘The Blind Side’. Her portrayal of wealthy Leigh Anne Tuohy taking in homeless Michael Oher was a performance like none other. I’ve watched this movie probably 20 times already and never tire of it. It’s such an amazing and inspirational film. For her efforts, Bullock received an Academy Award for Best Actress, in addition to previously winning a Golden Globe and a SAG award. The chemistry between Sandra and Ryan Reynolds in ‘The Proposal’ just oozes sexiness, and it is because of that movie that I hold out hope that these two will pair up romantically in real life. Heh heh. When she and her ex Jesse James split last year, rumors began swirling that she and Reynolds were [...]

Last night, George Lopez threw the first pitch at Dodger Stadium with a smile on his face and seeminly no care in the world.

Of course, we all know that isn't true. Tonight will end the short-lived, but mildly successful run of Lopez Tonight, his TBS talk show. The cancellation was swift and abrupt, but George didn't want to talk about that at the game. No, instead he want to chat about an important woman in his life, a woman who may have even play an intrical part in helping him get his show to begin with - Sandra Bullock.

The pair have been longtime friends and supporters of each other and it doesn't seem like that will be changing anytime soon. George explained:

"If it wasn't for her involvement in me, or her belief in me, I would have had a very different last 10 years. She invested in me, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. And with that, and just who she is, she has my undying love, and my undying loyalty. Every day I thank her for believing in me."

That's really nice. Must be so nice go through life, knowing you have support like that. Nothing could take the place of that. No amount of money or fame. This is what its all about.

You'll land on your feet, George. You've got good friends and a good heart. Enjoy tonight and then its on to the future!

The former bassist for Queens of the Stone Age endured a looong and intense S.W.A.T. team standoff last month after calls of domestic violence were made.

Following the big mess, Nick Oliveri was arrested on July 12 and is now charged with four felonies and could land in prison for 15 years!

The bassist was originally booked on felony domestic violence, but once police searched his home, he was in deep shiz!

They found a fully-loaded rifle, cocaine, AND methamphetamines!

Damn boy! You do rock hard, don't ya?

That brings his charge total up to FIVE: two counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer.

He's 39 years old, but if found guilty on all charges, he's not going to see the Hollywood sign again til he's 54.

Ya know what this means, right? Possible Dr. Drew/Celeb Rehab intervention!

So for those of you who are skeptical as to how Bill O'Reilly can take the stance he does with the kind of show he himself produces, he does make an admission at one point of doing some of the same things. And oddly enough he does go on to ask some pretty good questions, too.

Then Nancy Grace almost loses her shizz trying to defend herself, not really disproving anything he critics have said about her on-air tactics against the acquitted Casey Anthony.

Gabrielle Giffords And Husband Writing A Memoir

The only thing many people know about Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is that she was shot in the head during a tragic spree by a horrible man.
Yet, as with anyone, there is a whole story to the person outside of their public image becoming dominated and defined by one specific event. And luckily, Gabrielle and her [...]

Roger Ebert caused a bit of controversy yesterday when he scolded deceased Jackass star Ryan Dunn yesterday via Twitter for allegedly being drunk during the crash that took his life, as well as Zachary Hartwell's, and now, the movie critic has taken to his blog to clarify and somewhat apologize for his insensitivity!

He writes:

"To begin with, I offer my sympathy to Ryan Dunn's family and friends, and to those of Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash. I mean that sincerely. It is tragic to lose a loved one. I also regret that my tweet about the event was considered cruel. It was not intended as cruel. It was intended as true. I have no way of knowing if Ryan Dunn was drunk at the time of his death. I don't know what happened in this case, and I was probably too quick to tweet. That was unseemly. I do know that nobody has any business driving on a public highway at 110 mph, as some estimated -- or fast enough, anyway, to leave a highway and fly through 40 yards of trees before crashing. That is especially true if the driver has had three shots and three beers. Two people were killed. What if the car had crashed into another car?"

We certainly understand where Ebert is coming from, and of course, don't support or condone anyone's actions when they are intoxicated and get behind the wheel of a car.

That being said, this is a sad, HOriffic situation all around, and we also don't think it's anyone's business to be pointing the finger of blame right now, especially when so many are devastated with grief.

Everyone knows mistakes were made, and unfortunately, it seems as though Dunn and his friend are paying the ultimate price for his. No need to point out the obvious, just let his family and loved ones mourn and try to make sense out of such a terrible tragedy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you affected right now, and may Ryan and Zachary R.I.P.

Buying A Beginner Drum Set Know What To Look For

If there was one pop group that truly captured the spirit of the swinging sixties, then it was the Beatles, and any karaoke event centred around a sixties revival would be sadly lacking without plenty of popular karaoke songs by the Beatles. During the years they were active, from 1962 to 1970, the Beatles produced an incredible 214 original compositions. Often their B-side recordings featured hits as well and some of the LPs intended for the American market, differed expensively from British productions. On the first five albums, love featured prominently as a theme which was perhaps no surprise. John Lennon was at the time very much in love with his wife Cynthia, while Paul McCartney, who dated several girls throughout their rise to fame, also embraced the concept of romance. John Lennon's young son Julian also inspired a few songs, for example 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' which originated with a picture he drew in pre-school and 'Hey Jude', an expression of empathy for the boy by Paul McCartney, during his parents' divorce. With Beatle mania sometimes reaching fever pitch, this talented group left a treasure trove of memorable recordings.

Niecy Nash is a married woman, folks!

The TV host and former Dancing with the Stars contestant married electrical engineer Jay Tucker on Saturday, in an outdoor afternoon ceremony at the Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu.

Celebs like Sherri Shepherd, Wendy Raquel Robinson, and Holly Robinson-Peete were in attendance.

This is Niecy's second marriage, in which she says:

"I have to say, this second time around, it feels custom. Even after I got my divorce, the ink wasn't even dry on the paper, and I said, 'Ooh, the next time I become a wife, I got this thing down pat!' I always believed that there was someone built for me."

Waltraud Meier, One Of The Greatest Wagner Sopranos Of All Time

A singer, typically a male one, who sings sentimental songs in a soft, low voice, is by dictionary definition, a crooner. There can be many style variations; even some female vocalists are believed by many to fall into the crooner category. However, in this article we will showcase and pay tribute to that list of original crooners and those that follow them into modern day music in the 'true' crooning manner.

Bach, the Guitar and the Meaning of Life

In this article we will take a look at the evolution of the American Singer Songwriter from Robert Johnson to Woody Guthrie, to Dylan, to Townes Van Zandt, to Lucinda Williams, to the Avett Brothers, Langhorne Slim and much in between. The Singer Songwriter has impacted virtually every American music genre because, after all, it begins with the song. Make no mistake, the singer songwriter, only armed with his or her instrument, provides the purest form of musical expression; poets whose rhythmic verse is put to music.

Art As An Investment In The Industrial North Of England

There is one particular question that has to be the most overlooked question that parents and event organizers fail to ask when interviewing a prospective magician for a kids' birthday party. And it really is not their fault because it takes somebody who understands the performing arts and specifically how magic shows for youngsters work to be able to realize just how important this single question really is.

Overlooked Questions When Hiring A Kids Magician

Fancy dress has been practised for over hundreds of years, tracing it's origins as far back as Roman times but it is generally accepted that the present day of notion of a fancy dress party has evolved from the Italian Masquerade balls of the 15th century. These were truly grand and opulent occasions and were almost exclusively attended by the aristocracy and wealthy. These festivities were for the upper classes, and were closely associated with the traditional Venetian Carnival and the use of masks over the face to be unrecognisable.

Movie Review: Water For Elephants

For months I’ve been talking about the big screen adaptation of the novel Water for Elephants and this weekend the film finally opened in theaters. To be honest, despite the amount of time I spent blogging about the production and promotion of the film, I wasn’t really convinced that I would love the final product. [...]

Yesterday was pretty much a travel day for David and me so it wasn’t really all that exciting. After a quick Easter Egg hunt in the front yard of David’s parent’s home, we had to get our butts to the airport for our flight back to LA. Because we did have one stop on our journey, we couldn’t get home as quickly as we would’ve liked … but our layover in Cincinnati, OH did afford us a very nice Easter brunch surprise.

We found an Outback Steakhouse in the airport in Cincinnati and I was able to stuff my fave partake of a delicious plate of Aussie Cheese Fries (pronounced Aussie Chayze Froys) midway thru our journey home. Trust me … it helped make the day go by so much faster :)

We did get home early enough in the day here in LA so that we could go out for a bit … we ended up seeing a movie at the ArcLight (review forthcoming). As much fun as we had in NYC and CT all week long, nothing beats being home, sweet, home here in SoCal :)

So horrible and sad.

Yesterday, we were very upset to hear that concertgoers were both injured and killed during a Belgian music festival due to a disastrous thunderstorm.

Now, the upsetting numbers are in, and we're hearing that 140 people were injured, 10 people were seriously injured, and 5 people lost their lives.

Here's what the organizer of the festival Chokri Mahassine had to say about the tragedy:

"This is the blackest day that any Belgian festival has experienced. [The event has been cancelled] out of respect for the victims, their relatives and friends."

We can only hope that the death toll doesn't rise any higher, and all the people who were injured make a speedy and full recovery.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to everyone who was affected by this tragic event.

Turntables: The Past Is Now the Future

We thought we would share our thoughts on our love of the singing waiters, a concept which might at first seem odd but is loved by so many. So why is the idea of the singing waiters so popular? Surely you just want your waiter to serve your food and pour you wine, be courteous and friendly but ultimately be seen but not heard, or not heard loudly!

How To Keep Your Art Supplies Organised

Even if you did not enjoy using art materials at school, taking pleasure from paintings can be achieved at any age. Studying art at school may not have been the most exciting of subjects especially if you took no interest in learning about the history of the different genres such as impressionism and surrealism. Although you may not have benefited from learning the subject in your formative years, it is true that people can discover how to use art materials at any age or period in their life.

“It has been determined that the remainder of The Monkees 2011 tour has been cancelled. No reason has been given at this time … We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of The Monkees.”

Find out how Berg and his partner Jason Katims plan on bringing the critically acclaimed television series that stars Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton and Taylor Kitsch to the big screen. ‘Battleship’ director Peter Berg, who adapted the Texas loving football series ‘Friday Night Lights’ for TV, has announced that he is writing a script to continue the story of Coach Eric Taylor and Tami Taylor. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shrivers Son Christopher In Surfing Accident

Maria and Arnold are making headlines again today but this time it is not about their nasty divorce. Unfortunately it has to do with their son Christopher who was involved in a surfing accident. According to People.com 13-year old Christopher Schwarzenegger is in serious condition thanks to a boogie boarding accident. His injuries sustained during the incident include a collapsed lung, a couple of broken ribs and some broken bones. If it sounds serious, well it is, the young teen is currently in the ICU where he has been since Sunday when the accident occurred. It is further being reported that Maria was with her son on the beach when the accident happened. Details of what actually caused the accident have not been released yet, all we know is that something went very very wrong, obviously. Christopher’s siblings Patrick and Katherine both sent out Tweets today updating followers on the younger Schwarzenegger’s condition. The legendary PRS guitar is many musicians favorite guitar, and its birth comes from one of those rare stories that make the legend even more valuable to some. Its history is one that doesn't begin in a million dollar mass production factory, but rather with a pair of hands and a love for music. Should this not be the birth place of all things in music?

Tips on Buying Your First Bass Guitar

There are several types of bass guitars each of which has unique characteristics. Though basses are not as old (in age) as drums, they nevertheless have an interesting history and they are quite diverse as well. Basses are also the unsung heroes of every band and though they are hidden in the shadows and will seldom have the spotlight on them in a live performance, they do play a very important part in every song or tune.

This is a WAY better idea, dontcha think??

The Poltergeist reboot has thankfully been scrapped.

According to sources, MGM plans to go back to their original idea of making a sequel, making a fourth film that will follow a "broken Stephen Freeling and the spites that tore his family apart."

With the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot failing pretty hardcore, it seems like MGM may have learned their lesson and has decided to return the franchise's characters rather than creating a reboot.

We're digging the idea. What do U think??

Guitar Lessons Video to Help You Learn Guitar Fast

The feel or momentum is the rhythm that you create through vocals. Your words hug and join along with the instrumentals you have written. For instance, if the rhythm of the instrument/music is a faster drum sequence, that means your words are going to assert a faster step, allowing your vocals to stretch and sit better on the drum beat. One of the unsurpassed ways to understand your own momentum is to take note of hip hop that you love.

Golden Globes 2011 LIVE BLOG!

The time for the 2011 Golden Globes is upon us. The stars have walked the red carpet, endured countless "Who are you wearing?!" queries, engaged in chit-chat about their picks for who'll win. But now it's time to find out who will actually win, who'll miss their award because they're in the bathroom and who [...]

Golden GlobesThe Golden Globes air tomorrow, Sunday, January 16th at 8 p.m. ET — have you filled out your ballot? For those of you who think the show is all about fashion faux pas or the flubbing of lines, we've compiled a handy primer to savvy you up a bit. Don't forget to log on tomorrow and follow our live commentary during the show!

Who's responsible for Golden Globe nominations and votes?

That'd be the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — a group of 90 international journalists who report on the U.S. film industry. The HFPA represents over 55 countries outside the U.S., and new membership admittance is restricted to five per year (with MPAA accreditation and yearly clip submissions required to maintain status). Every awards show has its own exclusive voting base — therefore, the Globes' viewpoint is unique in that its nominations and winners are chosen by foreign journalists.

For means of comparison, examples of voting pools for a few other key awards shows include: SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild members only), Independent Spirit Awards (eligible only for productions with budgets of $20 million or less, chosen by previous Spirit Awards nominees, Film Independent and Independent Feature Project Members), The BAFTAs (6,500 members of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts — 5,000 in the U.K. and 1,500 in the U.S.), The Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars — governed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which boasts over 6,000 film artists and professionals), and various guild awards (such as directors, producers, actors — all voted on by folks enrolled in and exemplifying the specified skill sets pertaining to each guild).

The skinny: A Golden Globe win means you've been honored by critics. A BAFTA win means you've been commended by authorities in the U.K. A SAG win awards folks within the Screen Actors Guild. An Independent Spirit Award highlights how very much one can do with a small budget, as decided upon by experts in the Independent filmmaking world. A Guild win means you've been chosen by a professional with the same expertise as you. An Academy win means you've been recognized by a mixture of various colleagues (actors, directors, editors, writers, producers, etc).

Fun facts from Globes past

The most Globes won by a film: five — shared by "Doctor Zhivago"(1966), "Love Story" (1971), "The Godfather" (1973), "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1976) and "A Star is Born" (1977)

Most career Globes wins by a female: seven — Meryl Streep

Most career Globes wins by a male: six —Jack Nicholson

Youngest winner of a Golden Globe: 9-year-old Ricky Schroeder, Best New Star of the Year for "The Champ" (1980)

Oldest winner of a Golden Globe: 80-year-old Jessica Tandy, Best Actress for "Driving Miss Daisy" (1990)

Most individual Globe nominations: 25 for Meryl Streep and 22 for Jack Lemmon

Most nominations in one year: Jamie Foxx in 2005 (for his turns in "Ray," "Collateral" and "Redemption")

The only film to win all five major Globes categories (Best Motion Picture, Actor, Actress, Director, Screenplay): "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest" (1976)

How do the Golden Globes differ from the Academy Awards?

The Globes honor achievements in 25 categories — 14 for motion pictures, 11 for television. The Academy Awards (Oscars) honor achievements in 24 categories, all film-centric. The Globes separate movie nominations by Comedy/Musical and Drama, while the Oscars pool all cinematic subject matter together.

Additionally, the ceremonies themselves offer polar opposite atmospheres. The Globes are more relaxed, with attendees grouped at tables where they're served food and champagne (this has made for some very interesting — albeit inebriated — occurrences and acceptance speeches). The Oscars are more formal, seating guests side-by-side in a theater without food or drink service.

Does winning a Golden Globe mean an Oscar is next?

The odds of winning an Oscar are a bit of a science, usually dependent upon the results of many of the season's major awards shows (such as the SAGS, BAFTAs and the various guilds). The Globes have historically been known to predict Academy Award winners, though there have been key upsets in previous years. Check out RopeOfSilicon's handy roundup of the past 25 years of Globes/Oscar winners to get an idea of the odds.
