Couch Commando

So … Sunday … yeah. The day started out beautifully enough … the sun was shining, the temps were warm but not insanely hot … it seemed like the perfect day to get out and enjoy the sunshine. In actuality, my Sunday turned out to be a great day to lounge on the couch … [...]

Orlando Bloom Is Back, Baby! New Three Musketeers Trailer Released

Okay, so maybe this isn't as big of a deal as the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol trailer, but it still makes us smile to see Orly doing his action thing again!
Check out the new trailer (above) for Paul W. S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers.
As we mentioned before, the movie stars Orlando Bloom, Matthew Macfadyen, [...]

Sad! Some people just never learn.

Real World's most volatile bad boy ‘Puck' David Rainey has been arrested and charged in a domestic violence case. Puck was taken into custody last week by the LAPD and booked on suspicion of felony corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

Cohabitant? That has to mean a new girlfriend, right? They couldn't mean his son, who Puck's already sufficiently traumatized for life when he got behind the wheel of their car drunk and flipped it into a San Diego creek with the 8-year-old boy trapped in the backseat. They would specify if he had hurt a minor, right?

Ugh! This guy really has some serious issues, issues we don't think he has ever really dealt with or ben punished for. Hopefully, this latest violent act didn't leave anyone too badly hurt!

And The Nominees For The 2011 Teen Choice Awards Are…

Once again, it's all about Twilight!
The first wave of nominations for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards have just been announced, and it appears that the third installment in the sparkly vampire franchise, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is in the lead with 12 potential wins, followed by Glee with nine, and The Vampire Diaries with seven!
Check [...]

You would think that three years would mean something to guy. Apparently not.

While their split was said to be amicable, we've just learned that it was actually Kyle Howard's decision to end thing with Lauren Conrad. Reportedly, Kyle took issue with LC's reality show fame, fearing it would conflict with his big career plans. A source explains:

"He saw the relationship as distracting from his goal of being the next Robert De Niro. He wasn't supportive of her career."

Huh! At least she had one! The next Bobby De Niro, you say? Maybe then you shoudn't have made a career on TELEVISION? BTW - at lease people watch Lauren's shows!!!

That seems harsh, but trust us, we're holding back, especially since we've learned that Lauren isn't taking the break up do well. Apparently, she had planned on a life with his man, marriage and kids and all that. Now, she's simply "heartbroken" and isn't sure where to go from here!

SAD!!! Girl, forget him! There is someone out there for you that isn't going to break your heart, smash your dreams or judge your career. Go out and find him ... and ask him if he has a brother!

Travel Guitar Reviews

I decided to write this series of articles, in response to years of listening to my musician friend's regale me with tails of woe, about "Bad Sound Experiences." BSE if you will. Most often, these BSE's had a common identifiable trait (New or inexperienced sound tech) and almost all were related to on stage monitor mixes. These unfortunate experiences made playing their music un-fun and un-inspiring. Since these are the two reasons most of my friends play music... I thought I'd try to help!

Endgame By Rise Against

Weezer has held my interest for many years now, and what keeps me coming back is their consistency. Their debut album Weezer (the "Blue" album) will always have a place in my heart as one of the few CDs I will never tire of. Sixteen years and eight CDs later, the band still has it, with their latest album Hurley.

Hurley By Weezer

It has been three years since Interpol's last album, 2007's Our Love To Admire, which met with mixed reviews that were far removed from the critical acclaim given to their previous albums, Turn On The Bright Lights and Antics, released in 2002 and 2004 respectively. Enter Interpol's newest album Interpol (released on Tuesday, September 8th).
