Tips in Buying a Beginner Acoustic Guitar

If you're like many Americans who own a piano, then the odds are that your instrument is used, and not new. In fact, most pianos owned by families in this country are several decades old upright or spinet pianos, which are great investment if they are properly maintained and repaired. Even if you think your piano sounds great now, you might be surprised at how much better it can be if you find the right piano repair technician to refurbish your investment.

The Symphony A Unique Place in Time Without a Colored Violin

Important matters when choosing DJ mixer equipment are how to choose to render your sound and whether or not you intend to include a computer in your setup or not. Turn tables and a sideboard are the preferred method of many old school DJs. This method requires more work on behalf of the DJ but to many people, the sound is thought of as more ambient and organic. However many DJs now use a computer to thrill that crowd.

Watch: Helen Mirren Gets On All Fours On ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’

Remember last week when we saw photos of Helen Mirren leaving her hand and footprints in the cement in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater here in Hollywood, CA? Yeah, well Dame Helen made an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week (to promote her upcoming hosting gig on Saturday Night Live tonight) and [...]

In our WTF? news of the day, a new celebrity feud appears to have broken out this week … between esteemed Golden Girl Betty White and raging trainwreck Lindsay Lohan. This week, Betty spoke to The Daily Mail and offered her honest opinion of the embarrassingly messy behavior by both Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay, apparently, didn’t take too kindly to Betty‘s opinion of her and had to speak out publicly about her displeasure. It sounds like it’s Team Betty vs. Team Lindsay … whose team are YOU on?

Getting slammed by the nicest “Golden Girl” has got to feel pretty weird. “Wow,” Lindsay Lohan said exclusively to E! News in response to Betty White telling London’s Daily Mail that she “cannot stand” celebs like Lohan and Charlie Sheen. “I’ve always been a fan of hers,” Lohan continued. “It’s just a bit strange when people feel they must speak publicly about others. Especially a grown woman.” Ooh…burn? No, not really. Lohan genuinely seemed rather perplexed by why White seemingly name-checked her out of nowhere. White’s comments, according to the Mail’s article, appeared to come after she was asked her opinion about “today’s celebrities.” “They party too much, don’t learn their lines, are unprofessional and they grumble about everything,” the Emmy winner said (supposedly with “eyes flashing,” per the report). “I think they are terribly ungrateful. I cannot stand the people who get wonderful starts in show business, and who abuse it. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, for example, although there are plenty of others, too. They are the most blessed people in the world and they don’t appreciate it.” Seems kind of harsh for the usually more discreet actress, whose insults tend to come out in the form of jokes told at award show podiums. “She is such a wonderful one,” White said at the SAG Awards, referring to her “Proposal” costar, Sandra Bullock. “Isn’t it heartening to see how far a girl as plain as she is can go?” Sheen, surprisingly, has not tweeted or otherwise issued a reaction to White’s comments. Lohan had nothing to say on Sheen’s behalf, but she is apparently a fan, having tweeted yesterday: “‘Youre with a winner, you wont regret this’”-charlie sheen as bud fox in Wall Street (winner-winning!) made me laugh lol.”

Let’s be honest here, first it should be made very clear that The Daily Mail generally exaggerates in their reporting … and to be honest, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if they did not quote Betty properly. But even with that said, nothing that Betty reportedly said is at all derogatory or defamatory. It’s pretty public knowledge and quite arguable that Lindsay, for example, does party too hard, doesn’t learn her lines, is unprofessional and “grumbles” about everything (case in point, this dumb feud). Instead of complaining that Betty White is “speaking publicly” about her, maybe she should take Betty‘s comments to heart. When a Golden Girl puts your irresponsible behavior on blast, girl, GET A CLUE! I don’t expect anything else to come from this feud … but I, for one, am squarely on Team Betty. She merely expressed what we all know to be true.

You go, Betty!!

Advanced Guitar Lessons Learn Advanced Guitar Techniques

Welcome to my Tom Waits wiki. On the eighth anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Thomas Alan Waits saw his first dawn as his mother gave birth to him on December 7, 1949 in Pomona, California. His parents were both school teachers. The blood that runs through his veins is a good mixture of Norwegian from his mother side and Scottish-Irish from his father side. When Tom was 10, his parents divorced. Soon after this, they moved to National City.

The Script: Science and Faith Album Review

The Black Rider is an album of Tom Waits that contains the songs Tom Waits penned and performed for the stage play musical of the same title which was directed by Robert Wilson and written by William Burroughs. The songs in this album strike a resemblance to the modified cabaret/blues of Waits in the mid 80s but with a more defined European art song touch. Consequently, Waits is joined by a good selection of his US cronies (Joe Gore, Greg Cohen etc) and the people involved in the original Black Rider stage musical.

Music Production Shareware In Ear Monitors Custom Earplugs

Many Tom Waits followers would agree with me that many of this legendary musical artist sand out for a string of good reasons. It would also be safe to say that his best album to date is Rain Dogs while Bone Machine is his darkest. On the other hand, Alice stores the most beautiful musical creations he has ever penned. How about his Small Change album? To be facetious about it, it's his most whisky-soaked. After all, the focal point of this album is, as you can guess it, drinking! Every song in this album revolves around drinking with "The Piano Has Been Drinking (Not Me)" as the best example.

As it allows us to experience the full strength of dramatic opera, including action as well as the power of Wagner's music.

Lethal Weapon Movies Remembering Riggs

While we are all familiar with digital out of home (Dooh) and outdoor digital signage used for marketing, branding, promotion, advertising and information, there are other far less utilitarian uses for digital screens. With the rise of touch screen and tablet computers like the iPad, digital screens are being used in the art world - not only to display artists work, but also to create it. This has proved a fantastic medium for displaying and creating art and has even been taken up by some of the big names in the art world.
